DB24 now supports striped backups to improve performance for large databases.
- Automatically splits backups into multiple files depending on size
- Default thresholds: >80 GB → 2 files, >800 GB → 4 files, >4000 GB → 6 files
Datastore – Collect Log Backups
The Datastore now captures log backup information, enhancing visibility across backup history.
Runtime – Schedule Maintenance Jobs by Weekdays
Maintenance jobs can now be scheduled by weekday, providing more flexible planning.
Portal – Backup Path & Deviation Monitoring
- Backup Matrix now shows the effective default path for each instance
- New Backup Deviations view highlights anomalies in size or configuration
Portal – Extended Vendor Backup Information
Additional metadata is now visible for vendor backups.
Datastore – Weekly Notifications
A brand-new weekly summary email provides a consolidated overview of your DB24 environment.
Datastore – Suppress Empty Daily Briefs<br>
You can now disable Daily Brief emails when no issues are found.

- Runtime – Nightly Backups on System Databases: Resolved an issue where system databases were skipped during nightly full backups
- Runtime – Missing Failed Jobs: Extended the log lookup window from 12 to 48 hours
- Runtime – Version-Aware Index Collection: Now supports SQL Server versions prior to 2014
- Runtime – Size Protection Volume Check: Fixed logic that previously checked all database volumes instead of the correct one
