# About DB24

Built in Sweden by someone who lived the problem.

DB24 started with Göran, a DBA who spent years doing the same critical, repetitive work that kept SQL environments running. Backups, index maintenance, integrity checks, performance monitoring. Work that had to happen, every day, without fail.

He wanted to make that work disappear. Not cut corners. Make it automatic, reliable, invisible.

Andreas and Alfred saw something bigger: if this could work for one organization, it could work for hundreds. In 2022, DB24 emerged from GetCap Group as its own company. Since then it's grown to serve customers across Sweden, Denmark and Switzerland, with 100+ active organizations running 1,000+ SQL Server instances, with 20,000+ databases on autopilot.

## The most critical infrastructure in most organizations is also the most neglected

SQL Server runs payroll, patient records, municipal services, logistics. It sits underneath almost every business-critical application. And in most organizations, it's being looked after by one person, on the side, without the right tools or visibility.

That's what DB24 exists to fix.
